Mayor Bloomberg Announces Completion of NYC 9-1-1 System

New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg released a press release and held a press conference on January 5, 2012, at the City's public safety answering center (PSAC). According to the press release, "The modernization of the City's 9-1-1 system - known as the Emergency Communications Transformation Program - began in 2004 and has streamlined emergency call taking and dispatch operations, helping the City's first responders improve coordination and react faster - at record low response time levels."
