County Commissioners in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, have voted to enter into negotiations with system integrator, ARINC for their new public safety radio communications system. The new P25 network will be a CORP25 digital, trunked Land Mobile Radio (LMR) system from Cassidian Communications.

The state-of-the-art CORP25 system will replace the existing Lancaster County public communications network, which operates on old analog technology, and will provide the County with a number of improvements including:

• Advanced digital performance
• Better capacity and improved coverage
• True interoperability
• The ability to choose best-in-class radios and other network components from a variety of different vendors
• A low total cost of ownership
